Creating A Concept Web: Native American Culture Areas

1. Draw an oval with lines coming from it.

2. Read and discuss the different culture areas of Native American peoples of North America. List aspects of culture each had in common: food, shelter, traditions, warfare, habitat, and tribal membership.

3. Students will choose a native American culture area from the descriptions on pp 26-30 of Why We Remember. 

4. Write the name of the culture area in the center of the concept web. Identify aspects of culture for each culture area.
