The Tower at Bloody Lane, Antietam Battlefield, MD

 

 This tower overlooks Bloody Lane, where the fiercest fighting during the Battle of Antietam took place on September 17, 1862. At the top of the tower, the distances to Washington County and Maryland cities are posted with the direction pointers engraved into the stone.

 

The Washington County Courthouse, Hagerstown, MD
The Washington County Courthouse is home to the District Court for Washington County. It is located on West Washington Street in the downtown section of Hagerstown.
