Black History Month: A Celebration

Your explorations of this site start of with a short history of how Black History Month began, telling about Carter Woodson and his creation of Negro History Week.  As you scroll down you see many pictures of important African Americans with links to separate pages about them. Here you can learn about people such as George Washington Carter, an African American scientist, and Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court Justice. Each page has a brief biography of the featured person.

This page would be of your use if you were looking to quickly learn about various African Americans. Also, there are some nice photographs posted. I would not recommend this sight if you are looking for detailed biographies of African Americans or entire web sites about particular people.
