Martin Luther King, Jr.
- King was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 15, 1929.
- King had lead the Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955.
- He believed in non-violent means of protest.
- King had begun to protest at the age of 26.
- King had given a moving "I have a Dream" speech in Washington
D.C. in 1963.
- His dream still remains unfulfilled today.
- He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.
- He married Coretta Scott King in June of 1953.
- Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in April of 1968 in the city of
Memphis, Tennessee by James Earl Ray, who is still in prison today.
