women who fought for suffrage
Susan B. Anthony

This website consists of three biographies of women who fought for the right of American women to participate fully in the democratic process. These women were chosen because they showed unusual courage as they fought against all odds to achieve political equality with men.

We hope the site is useful not just in providing information about the fight for women's suffrage, but also as an example of the value of striving to achieve a goal in the face of opposition.

The women:

Carrie Lane Chapman Catt
Elizabeth Cady Stanton
Susan B. Anthony
